Roasted Tomatillo Salsa Verde (Green Salsa) Recipe
There really isn't anything better than tortilla chips and fresh homemade salsa. I love the taste of this tangy salsa verde with roasted tomatillos. It is very simple to make! Hope you'll give it a try.
Green Salsa
8 tomatillos, cut in half½ onion, cut into wedges
½ tomato
4 cloves garlic
1 jalapeno pepper
Juice of half a lime
1/4-1/2 cup fresh cilantro
1 can diced green chiles
Salt
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. On a lightly greased cookie sheet, roast tomatillos, onion, tomato, garlic, and jalapeno for 20 minutes.
Place everything in food processor. Process until well combined, but still chunky. Add a little salt to taste.
